Joshua headshot 2Clayton, NC – Moving into year 6 of full competition mode, Joshua Rogers steps up to the Elite/Pro class this season. With 36 podiums over 62 races Joshua is excited for the 2017 season. Joshua first strapped on a Leatt neck brace back in 2006 and is still rocking Leatt to this day. Joshua comes from a moto background but his passion is downhill mountain bike racing. Whenever Joshua is on his bike, it is a great day no matter what bike, what type of riding or the type of training. He still rides moto for cross-training and for the pure love of moto sports. Joshua is also known as “Juice”, the outgoing and funny guy that loves putting smiles on people’s faces. As a first-year Elite/Pro Juice is looking for good things to happen. Riding with seasoned Pro’s this off-season has put Joshua in a good place. He’s ready to enter the Elite/Pro class; turn some heads and create some surprises.

  • 2 time USA MTB World Championship Team member (2015 and 2016)
  • 8th in qualifying and 11th in finals at UCI Junior World Cup in Vallnord, Andorra
  • Qualified top twenty in four UCI Junior World Cups
  • 2nd overall in the 2016 USA Pro Gravity Racing Tour (GRT)
  • Won 1st Pro GRT in Snowshoe, WV in 2016
  • 3rd, 6th, and 5th at the last 3 USAC MTB Gravity Nationals

img_5441Brentwood, TN – Heading into is 2nd full season of racing is Jack Major. Moving up to the Jr. Expert ranks in August 2016 he is ready for his 1st full season of Jr. Expert racing. After competing in 2 Pro GRTs at the Jr. Expert level, Jack was in a better position to gauge the amount of work needed in the off-season to be competitive for 2017. Jack has been riding almost every weekend at the newly established Windrock Bike Park all winter. Riding and training with some of America’s fastest talent including: Neko Mulally, Joshua Rogers (teammate) and others. Jack is a junior at Ravenwood High School in Brentwood, TN. He has been mountain biking since 2014 but didn’t start racing downhill seriously until 2016. As the newest member of the Billy Goat Bike Race team lead by Joshua Rogers and some great sponsors like Leatt, Jack is feeling very optimistic for the 2017 season.

_Zach Gareis ready for a runMars, PAZach Gareis is looking forward to his second season with Billy Goat Racing and his second season as a Cat 1 Junior Expert.  His focus in 2017 will be on gaining as much experience as possible, particularly on the most challenging courses. 2016 was a great year for Zach.  As a 15 year old in Cat 1, 18u, podiums were tougher to come by than previous years but he held his own.  His 2016 race season was capped by an 8th Place finish at the Windham Pro GRT. In 2016 Zach finished as the top ranked age 15 Cat 1 rider and starts the season ranked in the top ten Cat 1, 18u riders. Going back to 2015, it was an incredible year for Zach in which he dominated the 14u age group. He had 20 podiums in 20 races. Zach comes from a BMX and motocross background and enjoys skiing, fishing, and dirt bike riding in addition to his downhill mountain biking obsession.
